On a rainy Sunday evening with a glass of red wine in one hand and a journal in the other, the concept of [Em]bodied was born.
Co-founded by Bianca Schulz and Bronwyn Craddock, [Em]bodied is a creative company established to bring art and its artists to the people of South Africa.
THE WHY
Art is everywhere. Art is fundamental to life. Two things both Bianca and Bronwyn couldn't agree more on. Therefore, artists across all art forms are fundamental to our existence. But why does art have to exist within the boundaries of its respective art form? Why not blur these boundaries and create a complete interactive art experience? Why not bring all artists and creatives together to grow and support the industry. Let's gain awareness by investing in the South African arts sphere.
We want to highlight the adaptability and diversity of our artists by showcasing all the skills they have to offer. We don't believe that you have to be defined by a single skill and we truly want to empower the minds of the creatives with whom we work.
THE HOW
Fundamentally, we are an events organisation bringing interactive performances to gallery spaces and creative places. We draw inspiration from the walls, bring it onto the floors, and embody it through our performance.
[Em]bodied offers an interactive movement experience through performance art. In collaboration with choreographed dance, live music, style, design, fashion, poetry, acting, writing, photography and videography, we aim to embody a gallery's exhibition in order to bring any artwork to life.

Meet The Director
Artistic Director & Co-Founder
Bianca Carmen Schulz
Bianca Carmen Schulz Poblete is a South African–Chilean dancer, choreographer, and creative director whose work spans performance, choreography, and cross-disciplinary collaboration.
A graduate of the Cape Academy of Performing Arts, she has performed with companies and choreographers including Cape Dance Company, Kelsey Middleton Dance Company, Marlin Zoutman’s New World Dance Theatre and performed in works choreographed by Mthuthuzeli November, Mamela Nyamza, and Christopher Huggins, with appearances at Artscape Theatre, Kalk Bay Theatre, The State Theatre and the National Arts Festival.
Bianca is the co-founder, artistic director and choreographer of [Em]bodied Creatives. Her choreographic works include The Unfolding of Now, C.O.M.M.U.N.I.C.A.T.I.O.N, The Secret ] of the [ Lake, and most recently [be]coming.
She has trained internationally with institutions and artists such as Impulstanz Vienna, Anton Lachky, Alleyne Dance, and Rambert Contemporary Dance. Alongside her stage work, Bianca is also a yoga and movement teacher, integrating her background in somatics and performance to deepen her exploration of the body as both instrument and storyteller.
